Timelines by envenance.

Finland has established a multidisciplinary government working group in order to implement the Batteries Regulation into the Finish legislation. The first amendments will address the approval and designation of conformity assessment bodies for batteries.


The current time line forsees the implementation of Article 17 (conformity assessment) an Chapter VI (information provision with batteries) by the 18th August 2024. The 18th August 2025 marks the scheduled implementation date of the provisions related to waste management and extended producer responsibilities as laid out in Article 11 of Regulation (EU) 2023/ 1542. The regulation regarding the removability and repairability of batteries as laid out in Article 11 of the Batteries Regulations will be implemented on the 18th February 2027.
