On the 5th September 2023, the UK Environment Agency has communicated a regular position statement (RPS) about a deferral of the coming into force of the Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility main Statutory Instrument by 12 months. This RPS refers to the legal requirement to submit the first and second reports under the Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (England) Regulations 2023 to the Environment Agency on or before 1 October 2023 and 1 April 2024.
The Environment Agency extends both deadlines to the 31st May 2024.
The RPS will expire on the 30th June 2024.
