Gaining time - and getting organised.

According to the Spanish RD 1050/ 2022, companies that put packaging - including industrial packaging - onto the Spanish have an obligation to register in the packaging section of the Producer Registry by the 29th March 2023. At the same time, a collective scheme also for industrial packaging has to be chosen. Such schemes for industrial packaging, however, have not been approved yet.

The Producer Register communicates that the register is open also beyond the 29th March 2023 with no further deadline mentioned.

The reporting deadlines for the years 2021 and 2022, however, remain in place. Based on this information, the new ultimate deadline reads 31st July 2023.

The organization recyclia (https://www.recyclia.es/) has applied for approval as collective scheme. At the same time, recyclia proposes to register the affiliated companies. A pre-contractual agreement can be signed and includes the registration support.
