Prevention plan for packaging in France.

Since the 1st January 2023, article 72 of the AGEC legislation obliges producers of packaging to provide a prévention plan for household packaging (licensed packaging). Originally, obliged actors in the French market had time until the 31st July to hand in their plans.

The packaging collective scheme has now extended this deadline to the 15th October 2023.

The prevention plans have to cover five year period and are supposed to provide information on three axes (3R):

reduction, re-utilization, recycling.

CITEO suggests either to participate in one of currently eleven common sectorial plans or to provide individual plans.

The plans are accessible throught the CITEO membership site. The individual plan templates are provided also by CITEO or directly by envenance GmbH.
