Systemteilnahme für Verpackungen wird verpflichtend.

Schweden hat im Juni 2022 neue Regelungen im Zusammenhang mit der Erweiterten Herstellerverantwortung für Verpackungen eingeführt, um höhere Sammel- und Verwertungsquoten für Altverpackungen zu erreichen. Dementsprechend ist eine Systemteilnahme für Hersteller und Inverkehrbringer ab dem 1. November 2023 verpflichtend.


Ab dem 1. Januar 2024 sind im Sinne einer geteilten Produktverantwortung die Kommunen für die Sammlung der Verpackungsabfälle und der Bereitstellung von Sammelstellen für Altverpackungen aus privaten Haushalten zuständig. Die Hersteller und Inverkehrbringer tragen die finanzielle Verantwortung für den Transport und die Behandlung der Verpackungsabfälle in den Behandlungsanlagen.


Die operativen Aufgabenstellungen erledigt das Kollektivsystem, dass die Hersteller und Inverkehrbringer gemäß Ihrer Mengenmeldungen finanzieren.
